COLLEGIATE ADVISOR AWARD

The Collegiate Advisor Award is granted annually to a Phi Upsilon Omicron Collegiate Advisor to recognize distinguished service.

ELIGIBILITY is determined by the following criteria:

  1. Member of Phi Upsilon Omicron.
  2. Current collegiate chapter advisor.
  3. Demonstrated excellence as a collegiate advisor.



EVALUATION of nominees will be according to the following information:

  1. Nomination Form--neat, accurate, and complete.
  2. Accomplishments of chapter under nominee's leadership.
  3. Resume, Phi Upsilon Omicron leadership as advisor, other responsibilities assumed in collegiate and/or alumni chapter, and national involvement.
  4. Strength of Letters of Recommendation (3)



OPERATIONAL PROCEDURE

  1. Nominations may come from a collegiate or alumni chapter, a district councilor or a Phi Upsilon Omicron member.
  2. The Selection Committee shall be composed of a past national president, a district councilor, and the national collegiate chair. The committee will be appointed by the national president.
  3. Materials required for nomination shall be postmarked no later than November 1 and shall include the following: Nomination Form, Resume and documentation of leadership and service as collegiate chapter advisor and three letters of recommendation
  4. The award shall include a certificate and an engraved piece of Phi Upsilon Omicron jewelry.
  5. The award shall be presented at Conclave by the national collegiate chair or mailed to the chapter president for local presentation in non-Conclave years.
